Welcome to ‘A lens walk’, a site devoted to the joys of walking and taking photographs along the way. If you haven’t yet read my ‘Welcome’ page, then you might like to do so as it explains who I am and what this site is all about.
In the Journal I shall be posting details of all the walks I undertake. Most will be in Dorset, my beautiful home county, but from time to time routes from other parts of the UK will also be included.
Each entry will include a route map, and other information, walk statistics and description, my musings both during and following the experience. As a photographer there will be plenty of images as well.
All the walks will be listed in alphabetical order on the ‘Walks’ page with links to the relevant entry in the Journal.
The image below which was taken a few years ago, is a view looking towards the highest point in Dorset, the well known landmark of Golden Cap. This is on my list of 50 walks to complete this year (2022) and is typical of the countryside and coastline I wish to explore.
Having found this website I hope you will return in the future and if you would like to receive an email notification each time a new walk appears please ‘follow me’ using the button at the foot of this page below.
Happy Walking
Alan
